About the role:

The Process Plant, Mechanical Maintenance team is currently seeking a Specialist to join them on a 4/3, 4/3, 4/3, 8/6 roster based at Roy Hill mine. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance you will be responsible for providing expert knowledge, skills, and experience in maintaining, repairing, and optimising equipment withing the fixed plant facilities.

Specialising and leading in driving overall improvements and efficiencies of maintenance processes, this role will be imperative to the long term and medium-term plans, inclusive of asset performance, maintenance and shutdown strategies, capital and improvement initiatives aligning with life of mine long term strategy.


Duties:

  • Monitor, report and work with leaders to improve the effectiveness of systems and processes to deliver department outcomes
  • Recommend improvements based on performance KPI’s and OEE data to maintenance processes including planning, scheduling and execution
  • Create, Implement, and drive the delivery of fixed plant maintenance safety and production business improvement projects
  • Work with area stakeholders to maximise opportunities with planned improvements, ensuring technical documentation is reviewed and completed

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in fixed plant maintenance improvement role and environment
  • Tertiary or equivalent trade and operational qualifications and experience
  • Sound technical operations and planning skills, including ability to formulate and collaboratively execute project plans
  • Leading structured problem solving and ability to navigate ambiguity and assess options to support sound decision-making
  • Advanced levels of communication, verbally, written, and electronic, clear ability to present and influence
  • Demonstrated safety critical risk improvement mindset
  • Experience in SAP or similar CMMS
